For convenience, these fault statistics are typically converted to MTBF (in this case, the lifetime is installed before the fault). Unplanned maintenance is often one of the most important cost of ownership, and mechanical seals and bearing failures are one of the main reasons. Remember to choose the potential value of the pump that was originally expensive, but it will be much longer between repairs. Sanitary pumps have higher specifications, are less prone to damage, and have lower maintenance costs.
